The year is coming to an end and we are beginning some endearing holidays to enjoy with family and friends. Once again, we have shared with you 12 months of intense work that allow us to get to know each other a little better every year, to enjoy the projects achieved and to strengthen the partnership ties that help improve our employees, customers and partners. This journey has allowed us to consolidate ourselves as a benchmark transport agency, based on trust, closeness and commitment to each shipment.
DIR, which has already turned 27 years old, continues with a loyal team of people who, together with our customers, have enabled us to position ourselves as one of the leading companies in the sector. That is why I would personally like to thank employees, customers, recipients, partners, friends, followers of our blog and social networks, for all your support and trust in us. For our part, we will repay this loyalty with even greater professional dedication, if possible, to ensure that your trust is always rewarded.
2017 has been a year of strong growth and consolidation for DIR, supported by a strong investment in Environmental Management with the incorporation of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) vans, hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as an expansion of distribution on foot and by bicycle. The new logistics and ecommerce projects have allowed us to continue offering new job opportunities to great people and excellent professionals, because we do not forget our reason for being, people at the service of people.
2018 will be a year of new Environmental investments, new technological developments that will improve processes with our customers and the arrival of artificial intelligence to enhance the experiences of our recipients, all under a new ISO 9001 quality management system, a new ISO 14001 environmental management system and a new ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system.
