For some years now, there has been a growth in companies dedicated to transport and logistics, due to the new purchasing habits we have today. And as a consequence, investment is being made in land to build warehouses and storage facilities where goods can be managed.

In the last year, around 2,000,000 m2 of land have been acquired for the logistics sector. Logistics companies are increasingly investing in the acquisition of land for their facilities.
In Spain, the purchase of warehouses intended for shipment management has increased. Both in the two key areas, the center and Catalonia, and in Valencia, Zaragoza and Seville.
Along the A-2 motorway alone there are already nearly 500,000 m2 of companies in the logistics sector. In total, in the central area of our country, close to one million square meters.
On the other hand, in Catalonia approximately 650,000 m2 have been reached for the development of logistics activities.
Zaragoza is another of the cities chosen for investing in land for logistics companies, and this last year it has increased to 80,000 m2.
We continue with the Valencian Community, where entrepreneurs have invested in about 230,000 m2 of logistics land. And in Seville there is also good movement in the sector, with an investment in more than 60,000 m2.
Logistics operations will grow in 2019
As a consequence of the increase in investment in logistics land by companies, logistics operations will grow in 2019. Therefore, the sector will be strengthened and new jobs can be created.
